Daily Schedule
Enjoy a glimpse of our daily schedule.

Arrival and Learning Areas
8:00-9:00 am
Children arrive and check in. They put their belongings in their cubby and wash their hands. Then they can choose to engage in the various learning areas.

Breakfast
9:00-9:30 am
Children gather at the carpet to transition to breakfast. They eat a simple but nourishing meal of whole grain bread, a fruit, and milk.

Outside Time
9:30-10:10 am
Children go outside to the backyard to ride on bikes, play on the play structure, and play with outside toys. If needed, we will apply sunscreen during that time.

Circle Time
10:10-10:25 am
Children come back inside, and we sing our daily morning song to greet all our friends. Then we do an assortment of activities which could be reading a book, singing a song, or doing an academically enriched activity.

Learning Areas
10:25-11:10 am
Children freely choose which learning area they want to engage in and how much time they want to spend in each area. The teachers supervise the children and assist them if the children need help working in an area.

Outside Time
11:10-11:40 am
Children go outside again to play. They may play in the sandbox, write on the easel, or play with their friends.

Music and Movement
11:40-12:00 pm
Children gather at the carpet for music and movement. We will sing action songs and use musical instruments to develop a sense of music.

Lunch
12:00-12:30 pm
Children eat a healthy, home-cooked lunch cooked according to the guidelines of the USDA.

Transition & Reading
12:30-1:00 pm
Children use the bathrooms, get their diapers changed, and pick a book they want to read before going down for their nap.

Nap
1:00-3:00 pm
Children rest on their cots. Most children will fall asleep but a few may stay awake. At 2:00 pm those children can choose to read a book, do a puzzle, or do another quiet activity they are interested in, while the rest of the children sleep.

Learning Areas
3:00-4:00 pm
As children wake up, they use the restroom, get their diapers changed and select learning areas they want to engage in.

Snack
4:00-4:20 pm
If the weather allows, the children will have a snack outside on our picnic blanket. The snack consists of a fruit or vegetable and crackers.

Outside Time
4:20-5:30 pm
After snack the children play outside. If the weather allows, there may be a water activity, bubbles, and more reading.
